Ballet, also known as classical dance, is defined as classical, artistic stage dance accompanied by music.

Learning the classic technique usually takes years of training. The method of this kind of training is based on exercises on the barre (practice bar) and exercises in the milieu (middle). The exercises at the barre help to prepare the body and the basic technique. The optimal vertical axis achieved by centring the body should be learned when changing the room height (plié, tendue, relevé). Furthermore, the movements of the legs, arms and head in the different spatial directions must be practised precisely.

In ballet classes at Samuel's, in addition to the technical training, performance- and age-appropriate choreographies are also developed to apply the techniques learned and promote the joy of dancing.
